Title: Kinesthetic & Learning

To play Grammar Tiles, students are paired, and the rules of the game are explained: the goal is to correctly arrange in order the tiles that represent words from their vocabulary. After a hint is called out or written on the chalkboard, students must wait until "go" is called to begin arranging their tiles. For example the word is play and the hint could action. First group to spell it out wins

Title: Vocab Charades

Idea: For this activity the teacher would write down the vocab words on sheets of paper, fold them, and put them in a bowl.  She would then separate the class into two teams.  One person from each team would get up and one of them would draw a word.  They would both act out the word at the same time and the first team to guess it correctly gets a point.  You would do this until each of your students has acted a word out or until your vocab words are gone.  This will help your students get up and move around as well as understand and comprehend the meaning of the vocab word.
