Auditory/Meaningful Vocabulary Title: Teaching vocabulary to Auditory Learners Idea: When teaching meaningful vocabulary to auditory learners it is best to use a traditional teaching style. Most students that are auditory learners benefit from a lecture-style format. When presenting meaningful vocabulary words recite the words to the class. You could also have students work in small groups and read new vocabulary words and their meanings aloud to each other.
Title: Popcorn Start by giving each student in the class a piece of paper. On that paper will be one vocabulary word and one definition. The first student will start by reading their definition out loud. The other students will then look at their paper and see if they have the vocabulary word that matches that definition. If they do, they will say "I have (vocabulary word)" then they will read the definition they have and the process continues. By doing this, the students will hear the vocabulary words and definitions read out loud. Resource: Earth and Physical science class
Idea: The teacher will introduce the story being read. They will then introduce three vocabulary words from the story. The students will raise their hands when they hear the vocabulary words while the story is read. The teacher will then define the vocabulary words. Then the teacher will say the word ______ means _______ , and the students will fill in the meaning of the words.
